Yarn love

Nadine and I went to Kamata yesterday to a giant complex of craft shops - one for yarn and needle crafts, another full of beads (mostly plastic and glass), a flower shop and a fabric store...it was great! After having a yummy lunch on the way, we got to shopping. Ms. Poppins is planning to knit some really cute pants for the baby, and she picked up gorgeous dark blue merino wool for the project. I can't wait to see the results!

As for me, I found the motherlode.

Yes, it was a whole wall of Noro.Isn't it beautiful? They have it all; Silk Garden and Kureyon Sock being my favorites at the moment. It took a lot of willpower to talk myself out of buying a whole bunch, but I am occupied with two projects of my own at the moment and awaiting sock yarn from Mama, so I resisted.

But now that I know it's there? The Noro is calling to me.

Wow! I've never seen that much Noro in one place. You're a lucky gal to have that nearby.

I know, right?! It's a $15 train ride away, but it is amazing. And so close to the source - I'm looking forward to the spring sale.

A whole wall of Noro?! I am salivating.

I am still getting used to the harmony needles. They keep unscrewing on me. Could it be because I knit lefty?

Ooh, I don't know, Frankie - it's possible. Have you searched for clues on www.ravelry.com? I've had good luck finding knitting answers there.

My harmony circulars have only come unscrewed mid-knit a couple times, and it has been easy to re-tighten them with the little wire thingy. It would drive me nuts if it happened often.
