Oh yes, it's Kurishimasu in Japan! That's k'rish'mas': Christmas. This holiday is HUGE here! The commercial, Western buy-a-thon, that is, not so much the birth of Jesus part. All the grocery stores are piping carols 24/7, just like home! And there are Mickey Mouse Santa chocolates for sale everywhere, and lights up on a couple houses in our neighborhood, the whole works.
It's so weird! We don't have a tree this year, just didn't feel like going to the trouble plus, you know, we're living in Japan. I do miss home, very much, and being with my friends and family during the season. But I have to say, seeing all this celebration is just...surreal.
